The First Mediterranean Gin continues to support the international gastronomic scene as a sponsor of the renowned event which brings together the best restaurants and chefs across the Asian continent
Madrid, April 2019 – Gin Mare has participated for the second year in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants gala celebrated at the Wynn Palace in Macao on the 26th March, as part of its commitment to support excellence within the gastronomic world. Dubbed the “Oscars of the Asian culinary scene”, the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards recognize the best 50 restaurants of the continent, based on votes from a group of more than 300 leaders across Asia’s restaurant industry.
As the Official Gin Partner to the 50 Best Restaurants Awards, Gin Mare took part in the celebrations organized for the election of the 50 Asian best restaurants as well as in the red-carpet event through a series of gastro-liquid experiences.
In the gala, Gin Mare surprised audiences with a demonstration table where the renowned mixologists Marc Alvarez from Spain and Gagan Gurung, finalist of Gin Mare cocktail competition Med inspirations 2018, worked together with the acclaimed chefs Aitor Olabegoya and Zhao Wangmin to offer a memorable gastronomic experience with paired Gin Mare cocktails. In addition, guests were able to discover Gin Mare´s unique botanicals of Arbequina olive, rosemary, thyme and basil with a signature serve of Gin Mare & Tonic crafted by Arlene Wong bringing the Mediterranean lifestyle to the Asian and international audience. Once the gala had finished, The Wing Lei bar at the Wynn held a pop-up for attendees to enjoy an afterparty and celebrate their results with special cocktails crafted by Maros Dzurus, Head Bartender at Himkok Storgata Distillery in Oslo.
Gin Mare was also present in the Guest Mixology events organized by the Wynn the days before the gala. At Wing Lei Bar, Marc Alvarez featured a cocktail menu focused on different flavor profiles with Vantguard brands. He also crafted a special barrel aged Negroni with Gin Mare served as a welcome gift to the Wynn’s guests. In an effort to promote sustainability, Valeria Mosca, renowned chef and mixologist from the Wooding Bar in Milano, presented a selection of drinks and bar snacks based on natural ingredients that astounded guests.
The Chefs Feast annual dinner was held at Pousada de Coloane and gathered the best chefs across Asia. Gin Mare took the opportunity to present the cocktail Unusual by Gagan Gurung and showcase the flavors and scents of the Mediterranean.
Gin Mare will also participate as a sponsor in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants that will be celebrated in Singapore on the 25th of June.
